With Firefox being open source, no doubt you know there's a million and one other builds out in the wild, whether they're Betas, Nightlies or other unofficial builds. So I'm curious to know which ones are being used?

My main one I use is the 64 bit version of Pale Moon 12. For those who don't know, it's a Firefox build that's optimised for Windows - basically has a fair few tweaks and slightly modified interface etc (read up or download at http://www.palemoon.org). I've found it to be the most reliable for me. Others I've been through before settling on that are:

- Pale Moon 32 Bit (64 bit generally does run quicker on my PC and haven't had any compatibility issues as of yet)
- Firefox 12
- Firefox 13 Beta
- Waterfox 12 (a straight up 64 bit compile for Windows without the optimisation and tweaks that Pale Moon has. http://waterfoxproject.org)
- I've also had a bit of a play around with UX and other nightly builds to get an idea of what's coming in future versions.

Anyone have a different preferred build they use, or alternative builds for other OS's? Share here.

Hi,

Im running a vps with 4 gig ram & dual core processor, with unlimited Bandwidth..

I'm providing audio streaming, utilising centovacast software. Recently a few clients streams have begun excessivly buffering, and dropping out.

Ive spoken to my vps provider and they have suggested I switch to a dedicated server. They suggest dedicated servers can maintain "a constant" stream more relibily...

Id like to know if anyone can confirm this for me please?

I would have expected a vps to have been able to out perform a dedicated server, as it can be upgraded so easliy. I even asked my current vps provider to check the vps had enough resources. Im more than willing to upgrade if necessary, but they said a dedicated server was the solution?

Im concerned my current vps provider may be trying to get me to purchase a product/service which is either unsuitable or not the answer? to the buffering issues.
