RE: Search Engine Optimization for Bing
Ignore Bing.
They don't say much in their guidelines!

SEO for Google and Bing will follow.

While I'd rather rank well in google, that can take a while, so in the meantime perhaps it is worthwhile to spend a little time on bing. I don't think that just because one ranks well in google that one will also be default rank well in bing.
The most important thing in bing seems to be the title, followed by links. With google, it seems to be the opposite. IMHO

Naw.. If you rate well in Google you rate well in other search engines.
I would not spend 10 minutes worrying what Bing wants. There is just not enough traffic from them to warrant making pages for them. Especially if it interferes with doing SEO for Google.

RE: Search Engine Optimization for Bing
It seems Bing is stating the same things over and over again. What is even more surprising is that Bing is offering do follow links direct from its site. I do not what they mean to say by authoritative link as well. What other members think about it.

I agree in a way I reckon Bing secretly uses the Google system. Rolleyes

Somehow, I doubt that.

RE: Search Engine Optimization for Bing
Bing appears to put a lot of stock into how long ago a domain was registered.
For marketers, this means that you may look to purchase older domains if you want to get on good position in Bing.
