White iPhone 4 puts me in an akward position...

Thought I'd update everyone here... Ended up going for the four.

It's a pretty decent upgrade from the 3GS...

For the record - anybody using O2 Recycle - DO NOT TRUST THEIR PRICES...

Well rumour since has been that the next iPhone may still be out in June/July, but it won't be the iPhone 5, instead it will be an upgraded 4, or iPhone 4S, like the 3GS was to the 3G. Although improvements are supposed to be things like a dual core processor and bigger screen etc, so might be a decent upgrade.

None of this is confirmed as it's Apple we're talking about, but there's a chance we might not see the actual iPhone 5 for another year yet, instead just an updated 4.

Should of gone with Samsung Galaxy SII

Actually the iPhone 5 may still be out later this year but as Mitcho says the next release will just be an iPhone 4 update to have dual core etc. The ongoing case between Apple and Samsung might cause delays though as Samsung has now demanded that Apple supply them with an iPhone 5 and iPad 3 so Samsung can check them for patent infringements.

Carbonize, dual core might be a good component for business people since they can have more capacity to have more applications backgrounding (from Backgrounder Cydia app) opening faster and not crashing.

Just a question of interest, is there an Android phone that can top off what the next release of iPhone can put out?

Not knowing what the next iPhone will contain I couldn't say but the Samsung Galaxy SII and Motorola Atrix are possibly the main two contenders right now. Possibly the LG X2 if they get their finger out and release a decent firmware update or you use MoDaCo's firmware for it. You can check the specs are http://www.gsmarena.com

Best of all you can load any app you want to and do pretty much what you want with these phones without having to use proprietary software nor proprietary leads.

That's impossible to say when Apple hasn't released the specs or anything of it, but if there isn't, there will be one not long after it comes out that can top it off.

And that's where they have you buy the balls. Once your music is in iTunes you are pretty much stuck with using iProducts.
