FaceBook - Why did you change it?

I am annoyed and confused by the new facebook layout that has been there for a month or two or three.

They have added a 'live news feed' and some other type of feed. What is the difference and what do they do? I am so confused. One of them shows latest photos and comments but in jumbled up order and the other shows a few things.

i wish they left it the way it was

the 2 different feeds now are news feed and live feed. took me a bit to figure about but this is basically how they work:

news feed - shows all the more popular updates, or ones that facebook thinks youre more likely to be interested in. not always in order of time, just popularity.

live feed - shows ALL updates, no matter what. basically, if you dont like the new feed, switch to live feed and you have your old one back

dont hold your breath though lol, theyre redesigning the layout again.

From what I have seen News feed shows the entries that have recently been posted or commented on. To put it in English News feed shows you entries in order of last activity.

I disagree. A status that was posted at 12:03PM today was above one that was posted 2 hours ago.

- @Mitcho1989 I also disagree with you because on the news feed a status had one comment and it was at the top of the page, where a status at 4 comments, it was even further down the page.

yeah its not JUST going by popularity. that has some factor in the order, but like i said, its also by what facebook thinks will appeal to you more. whether it be a friend you communicate with more often, an app you use, or whatever

Hmm OK they've changed it since it's initial conception. God knows how it decides what to show. Facebook screw things up more than Internet Explorer. They should just leave it alone and do quarterly updates like MS does with Xbox 360.

i know what you mean lol, can be a pain having to get used to new interfaces all the time. i did prefer the last one, to the current one.

but i have seen a screenshot of the new interface theyre working on, and it looks heaps better.
