Is wordpress technically a CMS
I know a few friends have been having a dispute over whether Wordpress is a CMS, I was wondering what everyone else thinks?

Even if it's used what it's intended to be used for - blogging - it's still a system for managing the content of a blog. For this reason, I have voted yes.

WordPress started as just a blogging systems, but has evolved to be used as full content management system and so much more through the thousands of plugins, widgets, and themes, WordPress is limited only by your imagination. (And tech chops.)

Yes, I'd say so. The amount of plugins and features that Wordpress has and will continue to come mean that it is a CMS. It's been considered a content management system anyway and new websites even static ones are using the software because it doesn't require multiple page templates through use of the database.
