iTunes Killer: Spotify going to iPhone!
Spotify has submitted an application, the mobile version of Spotify. I think this is the iTunes killer and would therefore be rejected. Nobody would pay for money, they would just get it free over the airways, it was a great idea that they came up with [for spotify]. I can see iTunes Apple buying Spotify for a huge amount of money.
Good article on the BBC that is worth reading. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8169971.stm |

RE: iTunes Killer: Spotify going to iPhone!
The answer is No.
People aren't going to want to have to keep the Spotify App open, 24/7. Not to mention that a good portion of iTune's sales comes from the US, which Spotify doesn't support due to legal issues. Also, it's only for Spotify's "Premium" users. And for your "iTunes will buy Spotify" theory, that's complete bullshit. Apple has more of a following than Spotify. All Apple has to do is develop the program, then put it on their website, I PROMISE you that within 2 weeks, it will have more users. Not to mention the legal issues of "downloading music for free." What makes you think any company would think that is a viable way to make money? A program like this would have to be paid. |

we already HAVE an iTunes killer, it's called Amarok and after using it for a couple of years, iTunes simply doesn't satisfy my needs.

RE: iTunes Killer: Spotify going to iPhone!
Funny, I use an iTunes killer, it's called WinAMP, we've had it for a decade and a half.
I say, I say, that's a joke son. It is said that the future is always born in pain. The history of war is the history of pain. If we are wise what is born of that pain matures into the promise of a better world - because we learn that we can no longer afford the mistakes of the past. - Citizen G'Kar |

Personally I prefer MediaMonkey to them both. iTunes and WinAmp that is not Spotify. Main problem with Spotify is it rarely has the latest songs on there.

I use Spotify a lot. Strangely, I've never had one advert appear?

Last I checked all men used condoms whether gay or straight. If you have children it could be embarassing though.
