Modern Warfare 2 - PS3 Maps released

Costing £9.99 the Map pack has been released to try and fleece more money from PS3 Owners.

Having already purchased the game for £40 they want to sell me a map pack for £10.

I most likely won't get it until late summer because I have more important things to do. No doubt treyarchs game won't take people away from MW2 - only another infinity ward game will do that. (BTW, What's the difference between them, development wise.

If I owned COD 4 (I borrowed it and played SP) then I would be pissed off to have to pay for maps I already own / bought in COD4.

yeah they should make a thing like guitar hero does, where you can export some songs from older games to newer ones, if you own both.

they should do this with modern warfare, if you own the original, you should be able to export the maps to modern warfare 2 at no charge.

I can understand what you're saying, I certainly won't be purchasing the maps any time soon. Then again development costs money. Some of the maps were available in COD4, but again they require development to work with the new game engine. Yeah you can argue they've made a killing on MW2 already, but ultimately Infinity Ward is owned by Activision, and Activision is owned by greedy share holders; they're not going to do anything out of the goodness of their heart.

Just found out they are 10.99 rather than 10.00! That's taking it too far, it's the princable.

My friend will be lending me his account details so I can "share" the maps.

My friends are PS3 fanatics, they were ranting about this stuff.

Heck, the only thing for a console I'd buy is the WiFi (I have XBOX QQ), the games, and online. (XBOX sucks.) ..Unless that game was Little Big Planet.

I've considered buying a Playstation but that won't be an option until my XBOX breaks because of too much playing (which won't ever happen, sadly), or it gets stolen.

I'm sharing the maps, all you do is use their account details and re-download them. Youre not recharged!

Yeah, I did that for all the map packs for COD4 & 5.
