RE: msn VIRUS
Yeah, use a third party client for MSN chat and disable the one built into windows. If you use pidgen, Trillian or any other third party client you're immune.

Same thing as outlook and IE viruses - to protect yourself from them don't use Outlook or IE.

It is said that the future is always born in pain. The history of war is the history of pain. If we are wise what is born of that pain matures into the promise of a better world - because we learn that we can no longer afford the mistakes of the past. - Citizen G'Kar

Real easy. Confirm that it was actually your friend that sent the link before clicking.

RE: msn VIRUS
there is an antivirus script for messenger plus! thats built specifically for msn. ive used it and it does block those links that people send you when they have a virus.

but i find it easier to use common sense on msn instead of an antivirus: i.e. look at the link before clicking. its pretty easy to spot a fake

RE: msn VIRUS
A wait to protect yourself is to look at the URL link before you click on it - if it looks dodgy, don't visit it!

I get a lot of people with the viruses trying to send them to me - mainly "hey i saw you in this pic, is it you? *link*" and they are from the sort of people that get conned into these sort of things - So you just have to be careful and be smart about what you do on the computer.

Thanks for sharing that, we need to find someone to see if it works.....

Just thinking about it, Ryan, you have a mac, yeah? If you have a mac, i doubt you'll get the virus, i think it is just a PC (Windows) thing.
