Now finally using Linux!

well i've had my new laptop for a while now (with windows 7), but just the other day i finally decided to give linux a decent try.

to make it easier i used Wubi to install ubuntu (that way, if i decide to get rid of it i can simply uninstall it while in windows)

but i dont think that will be happening. ive been using it and i think its great! currently using ubuntu 9.10 and yeah its been really good. i like the whole application manager thing, and its just a generally really good OS.

it probably wont ever replace windows for me, as i have too many windows only apps, but i will definitely hang onto ubuntu as well.

Don't get me wrong Linux is nice and very stable but I personally see no reason to use it instead of Windows. The old argument used to be that Linux was more stable but I have had Windows 7 running for 31 days before now and I only rebooted was because I had no reason to leave it switched on after that.

yeah i should have mentioned this lol but i still mainly use windows 7, occasionally boot into ubuntu. the main reason i installed it was because i wanted to see what all the fuss was about
