solution wanted
I'm looking for a long term solution to a website i want to make.

I'm making a site on particular products, each have their own page and a link to to the best prices. A Wordpress site can give me search engine friendly URLS with good indexing capabilities. (WP is priority in Google). I can also have individual product pages and list the product prices in the box. Everything would be rosy in the short term with only a few products to manage, but in the long term as I include more products it will be time consuming therefore I will need to look at feeds.

I see there is a plugin that will use my affiliate networks and it will match products with the keywords on a page. I could do that, but I was wondering what you think of using datafeeds, the best way to import them, update them and display them.

Thanks.! Cheers

First of all WP is NOT a priority in Google. Google favors content rather than type of software.
YOU should know better than that Ryan. f_doh

You need a program designed around selling rather than converting a blog to an ecommerce site.
For example, my favorite open source program CRELoaded has a data feed module.
CRE is extremely search engine friendly and provides you with the most SEO options on all of the pages.
If you are selling product you are going to need all the SEO you can get on each product page.

I was talking to a client this morning about how his products are showing in searches. This site was started on Dec 5 and searched for product by # brings the client into the top results. EG google 07012-00 REST STOP or 23312-00 BEST SCENT or any of the products by product number and green-cleaning-products.biz is #3. Result page is http://green-cleaning-products.biz/index.php?cPath=1
The site ranks right up with the mfg and in some instances, lists better.

CRE also offers digital download management and has an excellent article management system.

The page http://www.creloaded.com/Support-Documen...pages.html has more detailed info.

You are better to use a tool suited for the purpose rather than trying to mod a program to your needs.
