Spotify Open

For months now spotify has been locked down to people who are invited by a paying member thus allowing them to access free music or pay to then get no adds and invite your mates

But this has left the people who didnt manage to sign up intime and havent got a paying friend. "and havent seen the invite codes for £1-£2 on ebay"

Today spotify launched spotify "open" yet another user account that this time can be signed up to by ANYONE! but the big catch with this one is that you only get 20 listening hours per month unless you are invited to the main "free" service of spotify.

So its still very clear that spotify cannot afford more people on board but they are doing the best they can to make it open to as many people as they can.

this also comes as they launch there "unlimited" service which is half the price of there "premium" but you dont get all the mobile bonuses just no adds and offline mode on your PC and for 4.99 id consider paying that.

How many more user levels will spotify create haha!

Its STILL not availble in the US :O

i find that truly shocking...

Although a quick google shows they are sitll having arguments with US labels.

It looks like its gonna be soon tho, "3rd quarter of this year"
